My Style

I am deeply committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and judgmentfree zone for my clients, where they can freely explore, experiment, and express themselves. The focus and pacing of my sessions with clients is dependent on their wants, needs, and intent for our time together. I value selfdetermination and honor my clientsright to make decisions for themselves. I also encourage my clients to take incremental and steady steps towards their desired goal(s) and provide them with the necessary tools and support to successfully achieve each step.

I view my role as being a guide, sounding board, support person, and educator for my clients, who will walk beside them as they navigate the various challenges and hurdles they face in life. The tools that I teach during sessions with my clients are tangible and numerous. Such tools are meant to be takeaways that my clients can leverage throughout their lives.

I am honored to be a part of my clients’ journeys towards healing, transformation, and self-actualization.

Hello, I’m David

For the past 13 years, I have worked as a Correctional Officer for the State of California. I am passionate about helping my fellow Correctional Officers and First Responders who are suffering from job-related anxiety, isolation, stress, overwhelm, and burnout. My goal is to facilitate breathwork trainings, hiking excursions, and other outdoor activities for First Responders to support my colleagues live life to the fullest, destress, reconnect with others, learn to trust again, and be in the here-and-now.

I suffered from PTSD due to work-related experiences. I didn’t see the warning signs until it was too late. I almost lost the thing that means the most to me: My family. Luckily, I was able to work with a therapist who helped me get through my darkest moments. I did a lot of inner healing and learned to embrace life, love, and fun again.

I see the negative effects of the brutal environments where we, as First Responders, work. In such environments, it is normalized to hide our feelings and “suck it up”. That is not normal though! Typically, we do not express our true feelings to our loved ones and coworkers. We believe that holding in our feelings protects our family and friends from our dark reality. In hiding our feelings and ourselves from others, it often comes to the point where we can’t take it anymore, and we resort to unhealthy outlets, which include alcohol abuse, spousal abuse, isolation, divorce, and/or suicide.

I welcome you to join me in getting out of your comfort zone and reclaiming your true self and best life.
